So yes, your boy has officially become a doctor!! Surreal feeling. It feels weird already receiving emails being called Dr. Habib - but hey, gotta get used to it.
I will officially start working in August as an F2 doctor and my rotations are Acute Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine & Urology.
Anyways, I want to bore you for long, this email is more about what happens with this newsletter from now on…
This newsletter started as a way for me (a medical student) to provide information on how hospitals work, how stuff around the ward happens, advice on techniques, procedures etc.. some examples of previous posts are:
How to treat hyperkalaemia
How to cut off sutures
NEWS score
The triangles of the abdomen
As well as write about random things, whether they have anything to do with the hospital / medical career - or not.
Now that I’m a fully qualified doctor.. yup, no need to panic. *clears throat* anyways… I was wondering, what kind of posts would you like to see from now on?
The same stuff? but from a doctor’s perspective? anything different you’d like to see? anything that you think will help you. Whatever comes to mind, please do let me know by just replying to this email - I will appreciate everything and anything you have to suggest.
Goodluck with anything you may have coming up, exams/interviews etc!
Everything will be alright!
Id love to see stuff about how to survive as a new foundation dr. How to transition from being a medical student to having responsibility as a doc.
